Startups and tech companies have more than 200 open positions

Most of the vacancies are for technology professionals, such as developers, data and software engineers, among others

The job market seems to be heating up again in Brazil, with a reduction in the unemployment rate in the second quarter of this year, according to the IBGE. In the innovation ecosystem, the time is ripe for opportunities, with more than 200 vacancies open at startups and technology companies, according to a survey by Startup's.

Most of the vacancies are for technology professionals, such as developers, data and software engineers, among others, but there are also positions open for areas such as marketing, sales, finance and even internships.

One advantage of this market is that salaries are above the national average. Griaule, for example, a technology company for facial recognition and fingerprinting solutions, has eight open opportunities, with salaries starting at R$6,000 for recent graduates, up to R$12,000 for positions at
software engineers and mobile developers, with two to three years' experience required.

In Brazil, the average real monthly income of workers is R$3,214, according to the National Household Sample Survey (Pnad Contínua) released last week by the IBGE.

Among the vacancies there are both salaried and contract (PJ) options. In addition, startups and companies offer remote, hybrid and face-to-face working models. Although most are in the São Paulo region, there are options in other cities, such as Rio de Janeiro, Santa Catarina and Porto Alegre.
