The Program

Griaule’s internship program offers a great work environment, with excellent infrastructure and coexistence with highly trained professionals.

Our engineering team works to provide the best user experience for our customers. As a Software Engineer Intern, you will work together with the team to improve our ABIS (Automated Biometric Identification System) and develop new components. 

You will have the opportunity to get involved with high throughput and concurrent distributed Linux applications that run on clusters, working with several terabytes of data, with responsibilities that impact the lives of millions of users. You will be dealing with Big Data, Hadoop, HBase, Zookeper, Kafka and other cutting-edge technology for distributed processing.

The internship program is an excellent opportunity to learn and develop your skills in real-world problems. 

Key Responsibilities

• Development of new components for large scale systems;
• Improvement of existing backend products;
• Working with a team of high-skilled software engineers applying the best development practices;
• Continuous improvement of internal software development processes and design patterns.

Required Qualifications

• Engineering, computer science, information systems or related degree;
• Strong logical, analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills;
• English – Reading and writing;
• Experience with Java.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

• Knowledge of automated testing;
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases;
• Knowledge of design patterns;
• Understanding of microservices and SOA oriented architectures;
• Advanced English
